More about 'relaxation' than giving the experience of being there. Eg it's 720x480 (maybe that's all that DVD can manage) but eg, one segment 'Wavy Dreams' is /badly/ compressed or something, it has terrible circular artefacts); image quality is too low for it to be /meant/ to be stared at. Alas. Too, I wish they'd leave it on some scenes longer, maybe with slow tracking or rotating to deal with the boredom. Overall I love the concept, and the music is pretty good. But, personally I want the experience of being at the shore, not just a 'relaxation package' that you're not supposed to pay close attention to.

I was recently pretty hard on another CD of this kind of relaxation exercise - why are tranquil sounds like rain and ocean waves layered in piano music? Well, this one is much better, and it being a DVD, you can also watch some very soothing ocean waves, a red sunset, etc. - but be forewarned: The first few scenes, while tranquil, have some chirpy little music pretty much drowning out the ocean waves. The last few scenes, though, have much more subtle music, and if you want something to watch while trying to fall asleep, these four or five would work fine, I think...but I just can't give it five stars because of the first few chapters, as I said. We buy alot of these for my son's physical/occupational therapies, etc. and he has said, "If I want to go to a concert, I'll put on a concert CD - why do so many of these dvds and cds not get that????" Right on the money!

This video was a waste of my money. Most of the scenes were of the sunsets with dark water. The few that were taken during the day had the dirty-looking water of the Atlantic. At least that's the way the water looked. Not a single scene was anything like the beautiful waters that were depicted on the cover. Wherever this video is sold, people should know that this is a good example of false advertising.
