There are many of things to say about this CD. First of all, I got it yesterday and just started to listen to it for my second time right now.

I have a hard time calling this black metal. No, there is no intro. This is one of those few CDs that should get around 4,000 or 5,000 stars.

The female sings almost operatically (imagine Sharon del Adel) 30% of the time and the other 70% of the singing is done by a hardcore/Darkane like vocalist. I almost forgot... the cover art stinks, but don't forget what I've said here!!!

You are easily getting what you will pay for when you buy this album. Unlike Rapture and Into the Lungs of Hell, these 8 songs are LONG - only 1 under 7 minutes. These songs almost sound progressive. No song approaches the 10 minute mark, but still - that's pretty long.

The drumming is very clean and will keep you listening. The entire overall production is very well for an unknown band, similar to Thunderstone, which I reviewed yesterday.

Other reviewers say that the chorus in "Queen" will get stuck in your head. Well, I'm at that point of the CD now, and OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sheesh...................... to put it simply, they're dead-on right. And her voice is beautiful. The screamer can go to (you know where), but she's awesome.

Also, as I was listening to this, it came to my mind to imagine a death metal version of Theatre of Tradegy's new CD, Assembly, which is kind of this style of music.

Now I (oh God... chorus again... it sounds like an evil circus with very fast, non-blastbeat, drums) bet you're wondering how much these guys sound like Children of Bodom... Have you noticed that EVERYONE, so it seems, is compared to them?! I reviewed "Mirror of Madness" 2 days ago and I had to do the same thing I'm about to do again now. No, the vocalist sounds NOTHING like Alexi, but the bass is somewhat similar to the bass on "Hate Crew Deathroll". If you can add keyboards of melodic power metal with a bass that is Children of Bodom + hardcore + melodic power metal with almost no guitar riffs with multiple vocalist styles with Assembly, chances are you'll get close to Escape. Oh yeah... the sample amazon lets you listen to for Queen INCLUDES that chorus, so be warned, be brave, and be embraced with beauty.

Boy was that hard to describe! You know, no one else sounds even remotely like this. If you put together elements that normally don't go together (water and electricity), well... Ram-zet somehow does it. I think you'll find this enjoyable if you listen to any death or black metal... oh, and doom, like Theatre of Tradegy. Hardcore fans most likely won't be able to stand the keyboards, so if you're one of them, forget this.

Let's see... ... did I cover everything? It looks like it to me. If only this was more popular, everyone would have a copy of this CD. Everyone, once you get past the screaming, should find some part of this CD that they love... wheter it be that darn awesome (it really is my favorite part of the CD, though it's so catchy) chorus or somewhere else.

This band proves that metal is long but dead. They combine different metal styles in one unique sound. The music cannot be labelled, but there are influences from Black Metal, and Gothic Metal and there are a lot of futuristic keyboard sounds. The main vocalist has got a love-it-or-hate it type voice. Most of the time he uses over the top black metal vocals. On the album there are also some clean male vocals and female vocals. The female vocals sound angelic, but they are also very creepy. The songs themselves are quite complex and original. Sometimes groove, sometimes fast, but never boring. The whole atmosphere on the album feels like a rollercoaster ride in a psychiatric building. Buy this album when you're an open minded metal fan or a psychiatric patient.

Well some would call this gothic metal I won't. It seems that every band with a female weather she is a singer or not is a goth metal band. Well this seems to be far more of a Black metal band to me then a goth metal band.

Any ways it is very good I like how the songs are long and very deep. To those who are look for a Slipknot or Korn sound well you are looking in the wrong area. This band is nothing like that at all. They are heavy very heavy. To heavy for MTV heavy.

This is raw metal. :)
