The fact that you know this album exists means you are a mile's junkie and will buy it. Don't have high expectations.
Some of the songs start off promising but don't build into anything. If this had been the original wonderstuff lineup, more effort would have been put into having distinctive basslines, drumbeats, choruses etc. Definitely not as good as any wonderstuff release or hairy on the inside.

Rubbish Island indeed,

I was really disappointed with this album. It has none of the angst that seems to underlie Wonderstuff's music. It seemed all very watered down to me. Somewhere between this release and the more recent Suspended By Stars they must found that spark again. Suspended By Stars is a much more like the Wonderstuff we have come to love and know.

This record started out as an outlet for The Miles Hunt Club...and possibly should have stayed that way. The songs have Miles's wit and pop sensibility, but lack the shake your fillings out of your back teeth sound that the Wonder Stuff brought in the past. This is Milo and Malc making music for Milo and Malc. At any rate, a low rated Stuffie record is still better than most bands could bring on their best day. Hup!
Better get ready for a rematch...Miles has re-recorded half the album for a US release later in 2005.
