PASSPORT�s exclusive AutoSensitivity mode intelligently reduces false alarms created by security motion sensors and automatic door openers. Extreme Radar Protection
The new Passport Qi45 radar detection system offers the award winning performance you have come to expect from Escort. The PASSPORT Qi45 includes full X, K, and SuperWide Ka radar capability, Digital Signal Processing for superior range and reduced false alarms, our patented Mute and AutoMute, audible and visual band alerts, and all the performance you'd expect from ESCORT.

Brilliant Display
The Qi45 features an ultra-bright red display with 280 LEDs. The device displays three high-resolution meter modes: standard Bar Graph display or ExpertMeter and SpecDisplay for more advanced users. ExpertMeter tracks and displays up to 8 radar signals simultaneously, and SpecDisplay provides actual numeric frequency for any radar signal.

Auto-Sensitivity Mode
Passport's AutoSensitivity mode provides long-range warning, with minimum false alarms. In this mode, Passport�s internal computer continuously analyzes all incoming signals and intelligently adjusts the sensitivity circuits.

You can also select conventional "Highway" mode, which provides the maximum sensitivity, or Auto NoX, which provides the same sensitivity as "Auto" but turns off X-band completely (full sensitivity is maintained on all other bands).

Safety Warning System
The Qi45 also offers Safety Warning Systems (SWS) detection. This safety feature warns you of the presence of potential road hazards by detecting signals from safety transmitting devices.

Purchased the Passport Qi-45 and had it installed by a friend, who installs automotive electronics for a living. Did a very nice job and placed the tiny controller in the dash. Make sure whomever installs it is very qualified and experienced. Though many people can probably take a half a day and did it yourself...unless you've previously done a 12v product install in a car and know how to easily pull wires through the firewall, I would recommend saving time and having a pro do it. Make sure you tell them exactly how you want it mounted and where you want the control unit to be placed. Looks very nice and very discret in my convertible Honda S2000. Every have to worry about turning it off, unplugging and hidding it. Once installed, works like a charm and detected the local police using his radar, one hour after installed. Very nice and worth the money, if it helps me avoid just one ticket. Also installed the laser shifter, not sure how well it really works, but I guess I'll find out in due time, since I drive a lot on the highway.

Wanted a radar detector that was discreet and integrated into the dash of my vehicle. Blogged the web and found the Escort Qi45 - highly recommended for its performance and easy installation by more than a few sites and read that Escort radar detectors perform the best and win all major radar tests. I bought the Qi45 with the add on shifters/jammers. Lol, it WAS easy to install. Two laser pieces with clamps up front, sealed detector bolted under the hood, one wire through the firewall. Wired interface to 12V and then the display/controller plugged into the interface connector. Easy to install and pretty cool - turns on with my ignition. It has saved me already a couple of times and works amazingly well. - Justin G.
