I wear bifocal prescription glasses. It's very expensive to also have a set of prescription sunglasses, so having some type of help that supplements, but doesn't replace, my prescription glasses is very handy. When I was walking through a home supply store and safety glasses caught my eye, I knew I was on to something. I found these on Amazon, in both Smoke (grey) and Yellow. I gave them a try. I'm very pleased. They fit over my glasses just fine. Initially, they were a little tight behind the ears but either they've loosened slightly or I've just gotten used to it because after a few weeks it no longer bothered me. I've got normal-size glasses and these completely encompass them so they work fine. For those who have over-sized prescription frames, these might not work. The extensive amount of plastic on the frames may be bothersome for some people, but it's never bothered me. When I'm wearing the yellow lenses, others can see my glasses underneath and it probably looks a little bit goofy. Don't try to hang out looking cool with that setup but they're great for driving at twilight or in the fog. With the dark smoke lenses no one can see your regular glasses underneath and they pretty much look like (somewhat largish) regular sunglasses. They aren't perfect, but they're a very good cost effective solution for dark or yellow lenses for those of us cursed with bad eyesight.

I had been looking for tinted safety glasses for quite some time. I've owned several pairs of AO Safety glasses that are large enough for me to wear over a prescription pair of glasses, but they stopped selling the model that I typically buy. These fit the bill quite nicely. They are inexpensive, small profile (for overlay glasses), lightweight, and are Z87.1 "high impact" rated (+S). The side shade works OK, but the frame does block some peripheral vision. There is a top and bottom shade that drastically reduces glare -- Much better than my old AOS+S glasses. I bought an amber pair as well as the "smoke" gray dark tint, and I find that having two different options is quite helpful. I wear the amber glasses in lower-light conditions, such as early morning or early evening, or when it's overcast. Both are 99% UV blockers.

And they look good--better than most over-the-glasses types. Price is right, came on time. Couldn't ask for more. I save about $300 on new prescription shades. :-)

These are some really good glasses. They do fit over prescription eyewear, and they are excellent sunglasses. I use them a lot while I'm biking, and in the cold weather they do provide a great deal of wind protection. They are kind of bulky, but they do the job, and you can't tell that you are wearing glasses under them. The only complaint is that the side visibility is not that great. The lower portion of the frame is right in the way of a quick glance over my shoulder, and the view quality of the side shield is not that great. They seem to be well built, however, and I think they will serve me well.

I bought these safety glasses as part of a set of three glasses: green, yellow, and clear lenses. The vendor's deal on buying a set of three is unbeatable. The primary user of these glasses is my adult daughter who is studying jewelry design at college. The set has worked out really well. They fit comfortably over her regular glasses and are less bulky. She uses the 3 different pairs depending upon what she is doing bench work vs. mini torch. The glasses have held up well. I would recommend getting a storage case for them just to prevent lens scratches in a tool box. The glasses are light weight and the little side window is nice for peripheral vision. The dark green pair could be used for fit over sunglasses. The yellow would work for field glasses as well. They do fit over most adult eyeglasses. If you have large round lenses in your glasses you may have trouble wearing them but if your glasses lenses are more rectangular shaped then no they should fit just fine. I would recommend these saftey glasses as an economical buy.

I lost my prescription sunglasses while on vacation and can't justify replacing them just yet. I'm old enough to not be overly concerned with how I look while I'm driving, but still young enough that I don't want to enter the "old lady" realm. I bought these slip-over glasses because they are not the face-swallowing variety that my grandma wears. I put them on and, you know, they're not that bad for what they are. They fit well over my thick-framed glasses, which you really don't notice I'm wearing with the sunglasses. They're also dark enough to soften road glare, but not too much. I wanted to make mine a little more fun and girly, so I bought some rhinestone-look stick-on strips (designed for fingernail art) and bedazzled the sides. I think they're great for driving and beaching, maybe just not on the red carpet.

A couple of (male) family members ended up liking it so much that I decided to buy a couple for them too!

I wear it over spectacles with small frame. But, it is not very comfortable to wear over large rimmed plastic frames.

I have magnetic sunglasses that attach to my prescription frame. Those work OK, but they do not block out the light from the sides. These glasses do the trick! They are a bit stiff at first and do feel snug around the ears, so they will need to be broken in with repeated use. They fit perfectly over my prescription frames and the side windows do not take away from my peripheral vision. The construction will block light from the bottom too. I do a lot of fishing and kayaking, so this is the main reason for my purchase (block light from sides and bottom) and they work perfectly. They are not big and bulky like an industrial pair of safety glasses, and they don't feel heavy.

I got these glasses and you can either wear them without your eyeglasses or they will fit over your glasses.

This is the second pair of over-the-frame sunglasses/safety glasses I have owned. I bought these primarily to wear at the range and they do an excellent job. Everything is clean and crisp. I also volunteer as a swimming official in my area and most of our pools are outdoors. These are perfect for this activity as well. Due to a recent purchase of new eyeglasses, I needed a new pair of over the frame sunglasses to replace the old ones as they no longer fit over my new frames. These reduce glare and protect from the sides as well.
