Refreshingly New,
By Cindy (California/USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Escucha Atento (Audio CD)
I'd like to tell you that this is the 5th review I write on Laura Pausini albums, I have since then changed my e mail but encourage you to look for my name and the highest marks on customers being helped with my reviews.
Escucha! I like the title to begin with. Laura is once again opening up to her fans and letting her voice flow to the words bursting with the emotions her heart feels day to day. I can't decide which is my favorite song yet, but I am truly impressed with these changes, the rythm of these songs are great, I would describe this album as evolved. She speaks of love like always and mistakes, mistakes, mistakes, those that make us who we are going to become and that reflects on this cd, Laura is much more mature just like her music, still with her unparalled voice and complicated yet understanded lyrics it is truly a work of art. We all look for these words, because we don't know how to express them ourselves and when you listen to these songs you realize how beautiful life can be with her music to place you where you are. This cd is very inspirational to me, it's very personal and once again Laura sings without fear, no fear of making something we might not like, and again she strikes gold! Brava Laura! See you soon. Can't wait to hear you in concert, you truly have an angejelic voice!

I just bought the cd and i give to it 5 five stars. Laura's voice in spanish has matured a lot from her last cd (Lo mejor de..)
I advice people who love good music to buy it as her other cd productions. Guille (Colombia)

Escucha is an amazing album,

I must confess I prefer Laura Pausini in italian rather than Spanish. But this CD is great in both languages. She sounds as sweet and sensual as always.
Laura Pausini has the rare ability to make you fall in love with a song, even if you are a girl like me!! Thanks to a T.V. series the single Viveme has received the most publicity. It's a great, melodic and inspired song. But I prefer Me Abandono a Ti, Escucha Atento and Hablame. If you are a Pausini's fan, this is a must have CD. But I recommend you buy both the Spanish and Italian editions, so you can compare. And I bet you'll agree Italian is even grater. P.S. - By the way, as a Laura's big fan, I want to share with you a "discovery" I recently made. It's about a sexy, young Guatemalan composer/singer. Her name is Shery. She is new, and she is hot. If you like Laura Pausini, you'll love Shery. As far as I know, she hasn't yet launched her first album. But her songs are available free of charge at her website (probably for a limited time only). Just search Google for Shery and the name of one of her songs. Try El Amor es un Fantasma, and Libre (the Libre video is also available at her website). She sings with passion, with feeling, and (as Laura), is able to make you feel LOVE with a song. The first time I had my boyfriend listen to Libre, and I felt jaleous!!! He loved her. Stay tuned, because this beautiful, fresh voice will definitely be making big waves in the music industry, just as Laura has been doing (for our enjoyment) for more than a decade.

Yeah so as you've seen this album has been rated fairly well I must agree completely with all the good posts. The CD is a different Pausini, but still a very good one. Her first song draws you and the rest of the tracks stand on their own. I am especially fond of the odd number ones La Perspectiva de Mi and Escucha Atento are great and so are the rest. Really you must buy this album, if not for the melody, then for Pausini's voice which is amazing and strong! Awesome album I've been listening to it nonstop.

BEST 2005 LATIN POP ALBUM... no doubts,
This review is from: Escucha Atento (Audio CD)
With her latest spanish album "Escucha", Laura Pausini has been awarded with the 2006 American GRAMMY for "Best latin pop album" and with the 2005 Latin GRAMMY for "Best female vocal pop album", so there's no doubt this is the CD to buy, it has very strong songs, to me highlights are "Víveme", "Como si no nos hubieramos amado" and "Escucha atento".

I have both the Italian and Spanish language versions, and I love them both. This single-- Viveme and Vivimi really stand out for me and are rich and emotional, gentle and smooth, and very catchy! A must have... imperdibile!

Well im a really big fan of laura's voice. However, when I heard her new single, escucha atento, I thought it was the worst song she had done. In my personal opinion, escucha atento is not the best song of the album. A few weeks ago I was watching tv and Otro rollo came out on tv, which is a spanish version of the late shows that are shown in the USA. I was ready to hit the hay. However, the minute that song, I didn't know the name of it, started playing I got up and hit the record button on my VCR. That song was the song that made me by the record. It is a truly amazing song. Viveme, live me, made me buy the record and I bet if you hear it you will also buy the record. So insted of hearing the record why dont you buy the cd and live the record. The cd should be titled Viveme. I love it it is one of the best cd in her collection its right next to las cosas que vives.

VERY NICE ALBUM,
By Music Fan "Marce" (Argentina) - See all my reviews

This album is a very good work, especially the first six songs. The track I like best is "Viveme", a wonderful ballad. "Escucha Atento" is an uptempo, with great energy. "Tu nombre en mayusculas" is a slower number with a hounting tune. "Como si no nos hubiesemos amado" is also a very nice song. The only thing I don't like too much on the album is the final track, with mixes spanish with english lines, I think this wonderful tune could have enterely spanish lirycs, but it's a minor flaw. Buy this album, you won't regret.

Talent to the Extreme!,
By FreMa "FreMa" (NJ, USA) - See all my reviews

I have been a fan of Ms. Pausini for quite some time, and this album just gave me another reason to be in love with this woman. She is so talented, raw and her songs evoke so much power and emotion. She is a true artist! This album is so good in both Italiand and Spanish. It is influenced heavily by rock, unlike her previous work. What ever genre Laura decides to sing in, she will have a fan base everywhere! My favorite tracks are: "Escucha Atento" "Resta in Ascolto", "Como Si No Nos Hubieramos Amado" "Come Se Non Fosse Stato Mai Amore", "Viveme" "Vivimi" and "Mi Perspectiva"!!! Go BUY THIS ALBUM!!!

Um... can't think of a good title,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Escucha Atento (Audio CD)
This CD is awesome, I'm listening to it as I write this. Laura has a very good voice and I totally regard her as "the world's best singer". If you speak Spanish or don't mind what language you're listening to(like me), you will LOVE this. Laura has an amazing ability to put her emotions into her songs and pulls off all the notes perfectly. She is TRUELY amazing. Anyway, this CD is more hardcore than her others I've listened to... Now for the individual songs.
Oh, yeah -pokes how this is a kid's review- I'm a preteen... just so you know who you're getting your infomation from. Um, and I'm a girl... mwehehehe... I feel weird when people don't know my gender... 1.Mi Perspectiva - Very much emotion here, great song. She sounds kinda angry... 2. Viveme - SO pretty sounding! Yayz! This is my favorite song on this CD. It makes you wanna sing along, but that can be frustrating when you can't speak the language it's in... sorta gives you the feel of a boy and a girl dancing alone in a ballroom which a lot of sparkly lights... 3. Escucha Atento - She sounds angry... I tried an instant translator, but it didn't explain much... the music video didn't make sense. Mwaha... the music video for this song is weird, though. Basically, it starts out with this guy getting arrested... then Laura walks by and sorta smirks at him. Then the song starts and it shows Laura walking into a restaurant where everyone is handcuffed to each other... Laura's wearing half of a handcuff that has been broken off... so yeah, it's basically lots of people handcuffed to each other. Plus a guy who's handcuffed to his skateboard... And then towards the end everyone starts to break out of his or her handcuffs, and this one woman was handcuffed to her son, then her song breaks the chain with a plastic hammer and she looks at him like, "I'm so proud!" Oh, and it also shows Laura standing on top of what looks like the Grand Canyon screaming at someone... gosh, she looks like she's about to fall off... but, yeah, music videos are odd. Just yesterday I watched a bunch of music videos in Hindu... at the end it said, "Ciya i have you." Well, maybe the songs weren't in Hindu but they were from India so they probably were... I know I heard a line or two in English in Spanish in this one song... but whatever, that's not the point. 4. Tu Nombre En Mayusculas - Kinda has a "bittersweet ending" feeling, but whether or not that's the affect Laura was hoping for, I don't know. 5. Bendecida Pasion - Catchy, it makes you wanna dance. Ha, you know how I'm listening to the CD right now? Well, this song came on just as I started to type a review for it. Yeah, anyways, it's really cool-ish. She still sounds angry. 6. Como Si No Nos Hubieramos Amado - She sounds SORTA angry in this one... it's still really catchy... I like the, um... whatever instrument they're using. I believe it's the harpsicord, but I've never been good at picking out instruments... not even piano, which I play! Especially with all the electronic instruments these days... anyway, yeah, it's fun to see along when she goes, "Como si no nose hubrieramos amado!" at the end of the chorus, and then "Yo" which starts at the next verse... even though I have no idea what I'm saying... except "Yo" which means "I"... I can say "I" in four different languages. "Yo" in Spanish, "Io" in Italian, "I" in English, "Watashi wa", "boku wa" or "atakushii wa" in Japanese depending on your situation... yes, I truely am a brilliant linguist, aren't I? Yes I WAS joking... 7. Tan Importante - Luv it! Very catchy, I had this like totally in my head the other day... which was really annoying even for someone who loves Laura. 8. Hablame - Mwaha... sorta sad sounding, creepy... 9. Donde El Aire Es Ceniza - This one doesn't really stand out one way or another for me... 10. Amar Completamente - See above... this one seems a little sad... 11. Me Abandono a Ti - Mwehe... I used to like this one, but I've grown to dislike it... which is weird considering it's usually the other way around. Yeah, I don't HATE it, there's just something dislikable about it... a few lines are in English, which sort of sounds weird... usually when songs are in mostly another language but one or two lines in English, you can tell the singers have no idea what they're saying... but Laura clearly knows as she wrote the song herself... wait, she DOES write her own songs, doesn't she? But... yeah... it sounds funny to hear the English lines with no accent... so, yah. Anyway see ya'll later. Yah... I'm not a very good critic, I'm always getting sidetracked... but whatever, I mostly write reviews for the heck of it, not because I'm actually trying to do anything... Yah... buh-bye. |
