What amazes me about XP1 is the crema it spits out - the espresso comes out with a very rich taste. Also I like the fact that it's NOT some automatic piece of junk with preset parameters, since this baby's got all the manual controls I just love the fact that I'm in complete control of making espresso the way I want it. Great machine.

look at the "reviewer" with the multiple glorious postings from Oakbrook, IL. If it were actually a quality machine you wouldn't need to falsify reviews, would you?

I have to give this machine 1 star even though I haven't ever used it. The reason is that the majority of the reviews seem to be from the same person making up different reviews, but with very common themes. Read the reviews yourself and see...

Be very skeptical and check other sources before you consider this product.

Was looking at high-end home espresso makers (about $1,500) this fall and a word of warning to anyone considering this unit: most people who care about espresso consider two separate water boilers to be a must. You need the boilers not only for hot water but for pressure to properly force the water through and to generate steam for your lattes and cappuccinos. So the way it normally works is you have one boiler for water and pressure for your espresso and a separate, second boiler to do your steaming. This unit only has one.

Something to think about if you think you're getting a real "high-end" machine for really cheap.

I bought this machine as a house warming gift for my son and his girl friend. It is a fine proformer and impressive looking but the one we recieved has many very sharp edges in places where hand and finger contact is unavoidable. I will probably end up fixing it myself as sending it back is more trouble then it is worth. At this price the bandaids should be included.

We were in the market for a true one group commercial espresso machine in the traditional manner and came across the XP1 from Espressione. We called Espressione office before purchasing machine and learned that this machine is made by GRIMAC in Italy one of Europe's largest makers of commercial espresso machines for bars, restuarants, coffee shops, etc. This machine is a true powerhouse. We crank it up in the morning and leave it on all day. It is capable of brewing coffee at the same time as frothing milk for cappuccinos, lattes, etc. The water reservoir is huge and has zero recovery time from making one coffee after another.

Machine is a powerful 1400 watts but is designed at 12.8 amps so it can be used anywhere and is portable. Some machines we checked into required 20 amp service which required an electrician to come on site. We usually use the ESPRESSIONE coffee pods which we purchased from AMAZON.com which makes it fast and easy to use the machine. However, it does fantastic with our favorite ground espresso roast coffee.

I have a feeling that a couple of us partners here in the office are going to be forced to buy a unit for our homes. Go for the machine...you won't be sorry.

I needed to purchase a gift for the President of a retail department store chain here in the USA who absolutely loves espresso. He contacted many of his suppliers and friends who knew the business. After his staff did some serious reserach, they learned that he wanted a commercial quality, traditional one-group espresso machine, that has the ability to brew coffee (and tea for that matter if you use the pods) and froth milk at the same time. There are only a handful of machines that can do this.

The ESPRESSIONE #XP1 Professional machine can do this. It has two complete systems for brewing your coffee and frothing milk, thus they can be done at the same time.

I contacted the Espressione corporate headquarters and found out the machine is manufactured by Grimac (Italy) the largest producer of commercial espresso machines in Italy. All of the parts and components in the machine are commercial in quality.

I was told that this machine was a very strong machine. So I bought this as a gift for my friend. The result...it's the best gift I've ever given him. No special wiring was required. It is a pour-over system which means it does not have to be installed by a plumber.

He is truly impressed with the quality and fires it up several times each day. I also bought him a started pack of the Espressione coffee pods (100% Arabica) from amazon and he continues to purchase these on his own.

This machine comes highly recommended by people that truly know this business. If you want something serious with the old world charm, this is absolutely the unit to purchase.

We wanted to purchase a serious professional espresso/ cappuccino machine for use in our Concierge Lounge at our luxury hotel property. We searched the amazon site and came across the XP1 from Espressione. The machine that we were looking for was not a super automatic espresso machine by an "old world" type machine that would not only tastefully blend in with our decor but also would be easy to use with great results.

In making further inquiries we were told that the ESPRESSIONE XP1 is made by a large Italian maker of commercial espresso machines used in restuarants, bars, cafes, etc.

After purchasing machine we've seen incredible results from this very sturdy and powerful machine which we leave on all day. It has the capability of extracing coffee while at the same time frothing milk. It has a huge water reservoir and we've experienced that XP1 has zero recovery time from making continuous coffees..
