From the Author

Hi,

I'm Luca and I've been a coffee aficionado for nearly a decade now.

I come from a small village in Italy and I believe in enjoying the little things in life and taking nothing for granted. This is probably why I'm kind of obsessed with with making delicious food and coffee.

For years now, I've helped others enjoy great coffee through my website (the URL can be found in my Amazon Author page--they don't allow me to enter it here), and I recently decided to share my help more widely by writing books.

So if you love a killer cup of coffee, I think I can help. I hope you enjoy my books and I'd love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Luca

My first few attempts at making espresso at home had me quickly pouring it down the drain and heading out to the local café, that's when I began looking for a complete "beginners guide" and this book really caught my eye and for $0.99, how could I go wrong?

I was expecting a few pages on the do's and don'ts to get me started, but ended up getting a comprehensive guide that I couldn't put down until I knew every last detail on the art of making delicious espresso.

I quickly got to work and started perfecting my newly acquired skills and techniques from the book and was BLOWN away at how great my espresso is! It's so much better then Starbucks and even the mom and pop coffee shop down the street that gloats about how "amazing" their espresso is.

I now commonly get responses like "Wow! You made this?" and "I can't believe how good this is" from my friends and family, which I have to admit feels pretty good.

I recommend this book to ANYONE looking to make great espresso; you just don't know what you're missing out on until you've read this guide.

Good information that you don't find in other books but because it's only 50 pages long you must also read a more detailed book so that you can fully understand and use the information in this one. Worth reading for sure though.

Luca Vincenzo has written an extremely helpful book for people seeking to make a very high quality espresso. He teaches you everything you need to know including which type of grinder to use and how to blend different types of coffee together for the ultimate taste. While reading this book you will also learn how coffee is grown and how you should not store coffee.

If you don't already have an espresso machine this book will be very helpful in your decision making process. You could go for a really expensive machine or simply use a stove top espresso maker. After I did a bit of research I figured out that you can buy all you need for less than $150. So along with this book you will need some basics like a conical "burr" grinder and a cheap espresso maker. Here are the two I'm looking at buying:

Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder, Black

Bialetti 3-c. Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker

I have owned an espresso machine in the past but gave it away to Goodwill because it was too big for my apartment kitchen so I'm starting again from scratch. This book was quite the education and fun to read too. It will appeal to anyone who has a sense of adventure. This book does not tell you how to roast beans but tells you pretty much everything else. There is also a small section on how to make cappuccino and iced drinks.

~The Rebecca Review

P.S. I'll still go to Starbucks but I like making my first drink at home.

This book is a good beginners guide to espresso making including a glossary if terms. Unfortunately I found it to be a little bit "my first coffee machine" for me. But I still found a couple of good tips in there. Well worth a read if you are buying your first espresso machine

I was hoping for and expecting a bit more depth on the technique and tricks for brewing great espresso at home. What I got was a very basic introduction to making espresso. This is the level you might find in a manual that comes with your machine. Save your money for something better.

For $0.99 it was OK. OPinions aboyt coffee beans and machines. The content about making esspresso was only a few pages. I bet you could find the same or more information reading forums and FAQs on esspresso sites.

Lots of duplication from How to make Coffee so Good You'll Never Waste Money on Starbucks Again. New info worth the $0.99 I paid.

I now own a presso espresso machine and, thanks to this book, I can make high quality shots with beautiful crema which rival that of even the most well reputed coffee houses. This is a wonderful book which explains in a systematic (dare I say scientific) manner, how to go about getting exactly what you need to make perfect coffee drinks. I also got the kyocera ceramic handheld burr grinder. So, the presso and the kyocera and the knowlegde in this book along with some freshly roasted coffee, pure water are all I need to make coffee perfection. Now that I know what to do, one day, when I have enough money, Im going to feel confident buying something like a 1000 dollar elektra espresso machine and know that I will be able to use it to get the results I want.

Thoroughly recommended.
