Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

This volume contains over 40 essays by a Yale Nobel Prize winner in economics. As an unrepentant Keynesian, Tobin is critical of Reaganomics and supportive of active government intervention in the economy. Although Tobin's writing is occasionally repetitive and dated, events have proved him right more often than not. The essayson fiscal policy; monetary policy; inflation, unemployment, income; and political economyare designed to appeal to the well-informed reader and generally do. Recommended for college and large public libraries. Richard C. Schiming, Mankato State Univ., Minn.
