You may or not agree with the premises in this book, but you will find it one of the most thought provoking books you will ever read. I don't think Nehrer has all the answers, but he certainly has a more complete grasp of reality than practically anything else I have ever read. I have been thinking about the material in this book for days after reading it and have certainly changed many of the beliefs/opinions I had about the world. It resonated with my experience. Well, don't just take my word for it, read it for yourself and form your own opinion.

it is refreshing to find a book that is easy to understand and very straight-forward even though the breadth of his subject matter is not simple and is far-ranging in its scope. nehrer is capable of cutting through the common mis-perceptions dominating society in a clear concise manner. i would highly recommend this book to anyone who really wants to understand how life "really" works.

I've been a student of life and all its interconnections for very nearly 50 years now. I've been on countless spiritual journeys, and have studied an almost countless number of philosophies, religions and spiritual paths. I've also made serious progress in many disciplines and have been rewarded many times with "Satori" and flashes of deep enlightenment.

In the end, I have found value in almost all of them. And I can always sense how they all have something in common AND that they all have something not quite right in them.

I've also studied many of the great synthesists, such as for example Ken Wilber.

Without the slightest doubt in my mind though THIS is THE book. Like no other work that I have ever touched it clearly shows me how it is all tied together and what the fatal flaw in all of it is.

If you are a serious student or a serious seeker I implore you to get (AND READ/STUDY) this book.

This book is the real deal - period!

I've been reading "new thought" and spiritual books for over 40 years. Many of the recent books I've purchased have brought up new angles on concepts I've learned over the years as well as some interesting "takes" on life and purpose.

But this book is beyond interesting. It can stop you in your tracks. At least it did me.

While I believe that no one human being is given the whole truth, this book has been a jaw dropper. As a result of reading "Essence of Reality" (EoR) some of my beliefs have been modified slightly, some have been discarded, and some have taken on a new twist entirely. Perhaps because of the foundation that's been laid by other authors, teachers and my life experience, I believe this book is going to cause a major shift in my perspective and in my life. I'm excited about the new possibilities.

There are not many books I would re-read, but this makes the list. I read this slowly, in order to better absorb the material. But it's not a difficult read. That said, I would not recommend this book to just anyone because it could rock their foundation...and not everyone is ready for that.

The author, Thomas Nehrer, is not seeking to build a following nor a marketing empire of any type, and that adds a level of authenticity to his words. (I am amazed I have never heard of the man before a friend recommended this book to me.) I highly recommend EoR for anyone who wants to stop the seeking process and arrive.

The spiritual book market is full of contradictory, aimless, recycled, and down-right false advice.
This isn't one.
The Essence of Reality strips the spiritual mumbo-jumbo bare and what you have is the diamond-like clarity of this book. No BS. No prophet-in-the-making egotism. No holier-than-thou posing.

This might be a really good book. According to the other reviewers, on the basis of which I purchased the book, it is very good indeed. However, the Kindle version has no Table of Contents, and thus no way to navigate through the book. I would have liked to have known that prior to my purchase. I have pleaded with Amazon to have this knowledge included in the product description, but to no avail. And shame on the publisher for not including one.
