3.0 out of 5 stars Fustrating!
Past live regressions of two persons who claim to be Joseph of Arimathea and Daniel, both close associates of Jesus and part of a so-called Core Group of Essenes who were close to The Master. Daniel claims that Jesus survivied the cruxifiction, escaped through a secret tunnel in the tomb provided by Joseph, then travelled secretly north to Damascus.

Then...

5.0 out of 5 stars The real Jesus and His real teachings of The Way, March 18, 2007
This review is from: The Essenes: Children of the Light (Paperback)
This book is so astounding and outstanding that I am moved to write my first Amazon review. We are treated to an insider's experience of not only the Essene community at Qumran, but the travels of Joseph of Arimathea and the true inner teachings of Jesus Christ. I have come to truly understand the Way of the Nazarene as taught by Jesus while He was on Earth in a human body. The teachings are profound and yet so simple--practice love and forgiveness with all. The story of the Essene priests bringing Jesus back to life is a stretch for me, but may very well be entirely true. We see how involved the family of Jesus was in His ministerial training and support. I came to truly feel that Daniel was a good friend and a sense of loss overtook me as the book ended, like losing an old and dear friend to old age. The wisdom in this book is on a par with Conversations With God, and it is just as insightful. The parallels to the work of Dolores Cannon are more than remarkable. They either copied her work or --clearly--their methods of regressive hypnosis reveal the same hidden truths. Unlike Cannon's work, Daniel is an Essene master of the Mysteries and is trained in clairvoyance, and is therefore able to see that he is talking to beings in the future and obtains permission to reveal the secrets he was sworn to preserve even under torture by the Romans or the Sanhedrin. Having studied with Cannon years ago and taken classes at the Berkeley Psychic Institute, I was well prepared to accept the information at face value. Even if you discount the method, the information and teachings revealed by Daniel and Joseph are true, deeply profound, and as moving as anything I have read in Buddhist literature or from my favorite spiritual teacher and writer, Ram Dass. We come away with a clear understanding of the history and lifestyle of the Essenes. Whether your interest is in the real Jesus, the Essenes, Joseph, the Druids, the Kaloo, Atlantis, crystals, the Dead Sea Scrolls, or the metaphysical truths and secret teachings of the spiritual masters of the world, this book will move you and captivate you. I put it at the top of my list with the work of Ram Dass and Neal Donald Walsch. Don't miss this one. It is all here, except the truth that energy equals matter and thoughts create reactions on the physical plane. I have been to Qumran and can totally relate to the perspective given here. The history is unique and the teachings profound. I have researched much of this subject matter on my own, and had other psychics look at the same material, and reached many of the same conclusions prior to hearing them from Daniel. I only wish they had asked Joseph if it is true that Jesus and Mary had two children. There is profound truth contained within the pages of this book, and it leaves Cannon's work far behind. Six stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Essene experience and secrets, April 20, 2005

If you have interest in the Essenes, and in the experience of being in Jesus' presence, this is the book for you. Thanks to the author using past life regression, the reader hears about the Core Group that supported Jesus, the Kaloo (Ancient Ones)who gave their wisdom to the Essenes, the Order of Melchizedek, the meeting before Jesus' death and events after his death. This book is a joy to read and to aid us in growing to the Light. I have bought extra copies to share with friends. Thank you, Joanna and Stuart, for writing it. I await your next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exquisitely beautiful, August 14, 2006

This review is from: The Essenes: Children of the Light (Paperback)
A strange title for a review of a book which is full of historical background? It's based around some extensive past life regression sessions of those who were once Essenes and one of these was a well-known Biblical figure. So the book is historical in nature and gives us a lot of information, with many fascinating details of Essene life. In essence, they were nothing less than the support group for Jesus. However, it is the beautifully poetic spiritual words which come through from Daniel that, for me, make this one of the most wonderful New Age books that I have ever come across.

Yet another confirmation of the truth of Jesus and the Essene Brotherhood who not only predicted the rebirth of the Master Soul, but prepared "the Way" for him to re-enter physical form. Wilson and Prentis weave a wonderful story of their quest to discover and reveal hidden and lost information that we all have the right (and an obligation) to know. Since getting to know them through correspondence I feel strongly that they are sincere and dedicated researchers, and I can't wait for their next book that is to be released in the near future. Thank You Stuart and Joanna for you years of dedication and hard work for my sake, and the sake of all searchers who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear truth. B.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, September 14, 2007

This book is a treasure.I have been so moved ,that I am writing my first review ever.It contains a trove of information on the Essenes and specially on the teachings of Jesus . It also contains material I had never known before ,about signifcant events in his life and events before and after the crucification ...and as to what exactly transpired in the tomb....you must read it...
His teaching of unconditional love and forgiveness really struck a chord...with me.The present moment is the only moment of power a person has...It is our clinging to the past and the future that prevents us from realizing our divinity. Forgiveness helps us to stay in the present moment..forgiving ourselves as well as others...The easiest way to God is through the heart...
There is also a mention of the upcoming end of the earth's cycle and our imminent ascension.
Only unconditional love in our hearts would be necessary for us to be ascension compatible. Those who have not raised their vibration enough would have to continue their cycle of evolution on another planet.

There is a lot more information that can be gleaned from it.It is definitely a must read....

This review is from: The Essenes: Children of the Light (Paperback)
Some time ago I was introduced to some of the history of the Essenes by obtaining and reading Dolores Cannon's book "Jesus and the Essenes".
But I found "The Essenes: Children of the Light" revealing a great deal more most interesing historical information, which gave me a much deeper understanding of the Essene religeous and spiritual movement and the leading/teaching role of Jesus within this movement.

As we find in the conclusion of the book (page 339):"It was in the communities of the Essene Brotherhood that the Way was first taught, and perhaps in that setting it was most fully understood. The Essenes did not try to elaborate the teachings of Jesus into any kind of ceremonial or doctrinal structure. The simple and profound fellowship of lives lived close to Mother Earth had taught them them the power and beauty of simplicity"

The book confirmed to me that Jesus had no intention to start a new religeous movement. His teaching was purely aimed at the spiritual development of those people, who were receptive to benefit from it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of good information, January 5, 2011

This review is from: The Essenes: Children of the Light (Paperback)
I really enjoy books written from past life regressions because I believe there's a certain purity to this kind of work that you can't get through channeling, or even our written histories. As we all know, history is written from the viewpoint of the victors with all their prejudices and opinions, which gives us a version of history that's not even accurate as far as the writers would have you think.

Books written from past-life regressions give us view of history from someone who was actually there, though this view is necessarily narrow because it's just one person's opinion, but what's important is that the person is again living through history, and can be asked questions about that period of their life.

This book in particular, The Essenes, Children of the Light, follows the life of four people who lived during the time that Jesus walked the Earth and they tell their stories, in fact two of the men were friends at that time, and one was the Joseph of Arimathea mentioned in the Bible. According to the man regressed in this book, as Joseph, he explains that he is the older brother of Mary the mother of Jesus, and that their mother is Druid Royalty. So it would appear that Jesus was half-Jewish and half-Celtic. This would explain all the pictures of Mary and Jesus with reddish hair and green or blue eyes.

But it's the little details that really bring home the validity of this book for me such as Joseph saying that he dealt in tin which he sold to the Romans, something that gave him a great deal of influence with the Romans even though Joseph himself was Jewish. Also, Joseph states that he didn't deal in silver or gold because he'd fear being robbed. That's the sort of statement you'd probably never read about in a history book.

Or that Joseph fled to Britain after Jesus' execution out of fear for his life. If Joseph did have relatives in Britain, it would make sense that he'd go there on one of his ships for safety. It was also explained that the story of Mary being set to drift on a boat without oars by the Romans was a rumor started by the Essenes for Mary's safety.

Mary Magdalene was mentioned as a disciple of Jesus' but being a woman, the other disciples didn't approve of her status. This goes along with the social ideas of the time, and shows why her role was downplayed by later historians.
What disappointed me was that the author never asked more details about Mary Magdalene. Was she the wife of Jesus? It was mentioned that she was of the Isis cult or religion which would have bothered the other disciples a great deal. The Essenes were open to the 4 major religions of their time, while the other 2 Jewish sects were not. This would have made them either talk ill of Mary or leave her out altogether. Another detail that makes this book ring with more truth than other accounts I've read.

One last detail of this book was the fact that a group from out of the West came to teach the Essenes and basically start their group along with the Druids. This traveling group was called the Kaloo. Because of their knowledge and use of crystals, they sound very much like they came from Atlantis. This was something I hadn't read before and I wish I could find more on.

I'll be looking for more books by Stuart Wilson and Joanna Prentis. This book was a very compelling read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jesus and Essenes - loving descendants of the Atlanteans?, June 29, 2008
This review is from: The Essenes: Children of the Light (Paperback)
It's time for the truth, love, and wisdom for all. Ethical and professional, Stuart Wilson gives us a fascinating look at the life of Jesus and the very advanced Essene communities that taught (reminded), housed, and protected Jesus through the first-person eyes of hypnotherapy clients experiencing past-life regression. Perhaps the Essenes really were very intelligent and loving, descendants of Atlantis or Lemuria whose life purpose was to make sure the truth got passed on. Put together the puzzle pieces of history that make so much more sense than some mistranslated scriptures. This fascinating view of Jesus and the Essenes from the perspective of his family, friends, students, and teachers will cover you with "truth-bumps"! Discover more lost and hidden knowledge through reading some others of my most recent favorites on this subject: "The Messengers" by Julia Ingram and GW Hardin, "The Lost Sisterhood" by Julia Ingram, "They Walked with Jesus" and "Jesus and the Essenes" by Delores Cannon. I couldn't put any of them down until I finished the last page!
