Biography

Alabama is an American country band formed in 1969 with the original name Young Country. As Alabama they enjoyed considerable success in the 1980s with a string of platinum albums and many hit singles.

Young Country didn't last long, as two members of the band went off to college. They got back together as Wildcountry in 1972, and a year later they decided to become full-time musicians. By 1977… Read more in Amazon's Alabama Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential bonus tracks on the limited edition release, October 3, 2008

This review is from: The Essential 3.0 Alabama (Eco-Friendly Packaging) (Audio CD)
If you have looked at the other "Essential 3.0" releases, you will not only be disappointed by how few bonus tracks the 3rd disc contains, but by the tracks themselves. This is the only one that I consider all of the bonus tracks to be essential. All six of them were Top 40 country hits. With that being said, there a total of 18 more charting singles that aren't found here. Some of them aren't missed, but it would've been great to see tracks like "Take A Little Trip", "T.L.C. A.S.A.P.", "The Cheap Seats", "The Maker Said Take Her" and "Small Stuff" added, in addition to the six on disc three.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Essential 3.0 Alabama, January 6, 2009
This review is from: The Essential 3.0 Alabama (Eco-Friendly Packaging) (Audio CD)
The sound on this was terrible, sounded like someone was recording it secretly in the back of a room. Wish I had not wasted my money.
The person I gave it to said it sounded like a bootleg cut.
