I'm new to the opera world. I've never been to an opera either but a buddy of mine had this disc and right away I needed to have a copy after I heard it. very elegant. The sound quality isn't that crisp but other than that...bravo!

If you're new to opera, and just want to dip your feet in the water, you're probably better off buying a cheaper collection. But if you know you like The Three Tenors, this CD showcases some fine pieces by each artist.
Listen to it a few times in a row while you're doing other things, and you'll soon find that you can't function without some tenor in the background!
