The extra battery alone is well worth the price and has been worth its weight in gold since I got it. The bag is sturdy and durable and the camera floater is not bulky to the point of getting in the way. And it does as promised, keeping my camera from sinking to the bottom of the water (whether it be ocean or river) The tripod is a little flimsy and cheap, but I use a gorilla grip in most circumstances anyway. Over all an excellent purchase.

I primarily bought this kit for the spare battery and battery charger. I wasn't aware that my camera, a Canon PowerShot D20, came with a battery charger so having a 2nd isn't really necessary. However, the one that comes with this kit offers European and car adapters which can be handy.

The carrying case is just about perfect. If it were just slightly deeper you could put the manual in it without bending or folding. It holds the camera, the floating wrist strap, battery charger, spare battery and spare memory card with room to spare. At the same time this case is not overly large and comfortable to carry.

The floating wrist strap gives peace of mind and actually works quite well. It's colored bright construction orange so you'd have to be pretty blind or in fairly rough water to loose sight of it.

I haven't used the USB SD card reader as my laptop has one built in. Are these adapters needed any more? They come with just about everything -- external drives, laptops, printers.... If it is needed the small size makes it very portable. It rides along in the case, just in case.

The 4" tripod is a total waste - stacking books and using chewing gum offers about the same support but at least you get to chew the gum. I'm actually amazed that some company makes these... and markets them.

Overall, a very nice accessory kit for the price. I would have rated it higher if it didn't come with the 4" tripod.

The kit had everything as described, however buyers beware that the quality is quite lacking. The floating camera strap is very flimsy and cheap and the battery (generic, not a Canon battery) does not hold a charge for very long.

Well worth the price. The battery charger included works with both 120AC and 12 volt DC. I have not tested the floating wrist strap, when snorkeling I chose to use the standard wrist strap that adjusts to the size of ones wrist. The floating wrist strap would be most usful where one is not "wearing" the camera such as on a boat. Note, I assumed the products were Canon Brand, they are in fact Vivitar, but this does not reduce their value.

I purchased a Canon Powershot D20 and searched for additional items that I needed for the camera. I reviewed different options and found the this accessory kit provided all the items that I wanted (carrying case, battery charger, spare battery) plus additional items (small tripod, floating wrist strap, digital card reader, and a cleaning cloth) that that I was surprised to find at a very competitive cost compared to other suppliers. I have taken the camera on trips with the Essential Accessory Kit and I am very happy with the quality of the items in the kit. I have not needed to test the floating wrist strap, but the charger, spare battery, tripod and carrying case worked great.

I bought the accessory kit primarily for the extra battery and the case. The floating wristband was a nice extra however.

The case is big enough to fit your lunch in and completely overkill for a compact camera. I do a lot of adventure sport and activities and although the D20 is shock and water resistant there is no lens cover so it needs a little extra protection when it is inside a camelbak - This wasn't what I had in mind!

The extra battery and charger are good value so hence the second star. Nothing worse than running out of power especially when it is a non standard battery.

The floating wristband is a cheap and nasty but reckon it will do the job. I'm not sure if I'll ever use it though.

It's not worth writing about the tripod. You'll have more luck with three pencils and an elastic band.

And lastly, there is a card reader. Most laptops have them built in so I'd rather pay less for the bundle and throw the card reader out.

This accessory kit contained a nice bag to hold the camera and extras. Also the the lightweight floater is a great must have if you are using the camera in deeper water. The spare battery and charger are always a good have.

Worked great for us while snorkeling. Case was small enough to not get in the way but rugged enough to take the vacation abuse

This little accessory kit worked out great, the floating strap saved my camera. Little tripod worked out great for taking time delayed photos of my wife and me. I would recommend this to anyone.
