I gave this song book as a gift. I wish I could play these songs as they are arranged with such intelligence. I know that the song book doesn't cover all the 'Essential' tracks, but it seems to 'nail' down some of the stronger tracks for a vocal-string-piano intensive playlist. I would recommend 'Day's Are Numbers' for electric piano or synths and 'No Answers, Only Questions' for a straight forward acoustic guitar ditty. And, for vocals, I think 'Old and Wise' or 'Time' are obvious choices.

An excellent purchase!

Don't know the album in particular (the Essential AP) as there are so many compilations (I have 3 of them!)

A little disappointed that "Siren Song" isnt on this, but as that was from a solo album by Alan Parsons, oh, well..

Great stuff - I think if you're a guitarist you'll like bashing away with "Lets talk about me" and "Wouldn't want to be like you"

All in all, its hard to fault the song selection - most of these are just great songs. "Old and wise" is a keeper, great song, wonderful vocal by Colin Blunstone, nice to see that here

Nice to see all of these songs. Wonderful wonderful purchase. I'm so glad I found this by chance at Colony in NY!

What a find, if you ever wondered how Parsons makes such great music, this book is a real find. My husband had three of the songs down pat in just a couple of days and it is great to listen to him play songs I have loved for years. I am just a beginner and find them a little intimidating but playing the stuff in this book is my goal!
