The sound quality of this anthology is excellent, particularly considering most of the tracks are from the 1930s/1940s. The booklet could be more comprehensive and the track selection feels a little arbitrary, but the Goodman magic is still wonderfully evident on every track. Did anyone ever play so fluidly and so magically?

I was trying to find a CD that contained the original 78rpm version of "Oh Baby" by Benny Goodman. This CD has that version, and it was good to have it again, seeing as my 78rpm collection is long gone.
