This is CeCe's Essential hits collection. 18 tracks!! alot of music for your money! I own this album and absolutely love it. All the songs are great! If you don't own any of her albums or singles, then pick this one up today! This singer is very talented and all the songs presented on here are awesome!

I bought this album because there are 4 hard-to-find radio edits to "Finally," "We Got a Love Thang," "Keep On Walkin'," & "Keep Givin' Me Your Love." All the other tracks are right from CeCe's 3 albums.

Talk about ice cream packed, some of the selections may have been shorten somewhat here but they are here and more, of Ce Ce Peniston.

If just hearing Peniston's soulful voice on any of these 18 tunes and not phased by versions or lengths (like a DJ), this disc is for you. With the expection of "House Party" and the album version of "Finally" (found on Ce Ce Peniston's THE BEST OF 20th CENTURY MASTERS THE MILLENNIUM COLLECTION), this disc just made less than 80 minutes of Ce Ce, easily. You have the shorten 12" version of "Finally", a strange edit of "Keep On Walkin'", covers of the late great Gwen Guthrie hit "I Should Have Been You" and Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy", ballads like "Inside That I Cried" and a whole lot more.

The ESSENTIAL is the better choice if you want the most out of this woman, she gives it here. The good times, the bad times, the joy and the pain. This is the disc of Ce Ce Peniston fans and fans-to-be should have to look no further for. No, you cannot borrow mine.

Beware that this album contains remixes!

My two favorite singles - I'm in the Mood and Finally - are remixes; not very good remixes to boot. If you are looking for original releases, do not purchase this item. I am so disappointed.

I love her music, I even was lucky enough to meet her in the early 90's at the WIZ store in the east villge.(Which no longer exists there.) I had sweaty palms when I shook her hand, it was a beautiful moment, and I greeted her mom who is also beautiful as CE CE Peniston is. I love all the music on this cd, buy yours today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own this CD and I mainly bought it because of how many tracks there are on this, as I already own her "Best Of" album which only has 13 tracks (but great dance mixes and new photos made Best Of worth the purchase). This album Essential is very good. It has all Ce Ce's greatest hits including "Finally" (original '91 mix), "We Got A Love Thang" (Radio Party Mix), "Keep On Walkin'" (Radio Mix), "Keep Givin' Me Your Love" (West End Radio Mix), "I'm In The Mood" (Bad Yard Club Edit), "and "It Should Have Been You" (LP Edit). The rare versions of her popular hits make this CD worth the buy, and the fact that you get 18 tracks! A complete full collection of her essential hits! If you don't own any of her albums, then I strongly recommend you pick this one up today! You can only get this CD online. I believe the stores don't have it, so make essential your next buy!
