The late, great Dr. Walter Martin writes clearly and succinctly about the ESSENTIAL Christian doctrines that define the faith.
Not just what we believe, but why we believe. Recommended for struggling Christians, new believers and non believers who just want a perspective on the facts of the Christian faith.

Walter Martin was one of the most influential people in my Christian learning experience. His tapes on the cults and the occults were some of the best out there. He knew what he believed and knew WHY he believed it Biblically.

His Greek and Hebrew knowledge made him a real contender for the True Faith and he traveled the country offering public meetings and even free radio time to debate the false translations and false teachings of those who claimed to be Christian but were not. His explanation of the Holy Trinity was unparalleled.

Some ,who were against him even publically prayed that he would die. He is now with his Lord Jesus in heaven. Would that he was with us yet today as we need people like him all the more. Get a hold of any of his teachings especially the `Kingdom of the Cults' and the `Kingdom of the Occults'. You will be able to spot the false immediately. The Truth shall set you FREE and deliver you from an eternal place that you don't want to be.

P.S. The shipper is excellent and I would recommend them.

Walter Martin was the best apologist on the Bible of the 20th century. A shame there aren't more Christians with the insight of Walter Martin and the ability to listen to the Holy Spirit in the same way. I read this many years ago and recently bought it for my adult son to read. If you want to know what being a Christian is all about, read this book and everything else Dr. Martin has ever written. A shame he isn't still alive to write more, but everything anyone needs to know about Christianity can be found within the pages of his many books.

Walter Martin, a real scholar and defender of orthodox Christianity is once again seen in this book doing what he does best. His work is short, but to the point and very well presented. Whether you know anything about Christian issues or beliefs or not, this book is worth the reading time. I have studied much longer books on doctrine, but few hit such important topics so well and in such an easy reading format.

Format: Paperback
Walter Martin, founder of the "Bible Answer Man" program and author of sevreal books about cults wrote this text in 1962 about the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. The book's strength is that it is concise while not sacraficing scriptural analysis and well layed out arguemnts for the truth of the Christian doctrines presented in this text.
Of course, because Martin was a controversial and colorful personality, many may dismiss this book entirely, but most evangelicals will agree with this text. It is important to note, that though this book is not entirely in line with an Orthodox or Catholic perspective, many Christians from these branches (for lack of a better word) will learn from this book as well. In a 133 pages, Martin wrote a book that is interesting, informing and understandable as well.

An easy to understand book. Every Christian should read this with their entire family. I bought four of them so my kids would each have one too.
