For the already somewhat "Business Literate" the Essential Corporation Handbook provide most of the details needed to setup your corporation, initial meetings you must hold and formalities you must adhere to. A very handy reference used often in the early days of forming my corporation. Displays sample of most of the documents you will be dealing with early on. I would have liked to see more detail/advise on how to determine the number of shares to authorize/issue which is I think is a key element or creating a corporation.

Considering how dry the subject material is, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book is not only a great resource, but quite easily readable as well. I bought the book a while ago, kept staring at it, and just dreaded even starting. But I was needlessly avoiding it, as the material is presented in a easily understandable manner (even a bit of humor from time to time, if you keep in mind we are talking about lawyers writing this...). Highly recommended, particularly with regards to tips on the differences in stock classifications and way that financiers can take advantage of you if you don't understand completely the differences.

I incorporated with the pointers from this book. Wasn't as hard as I first thought.

This book is ok. It's written in a very boring way.I found it just ok and for me it is a refresher since I had this in law school. I do not think it's the best book out there on the subject. And the first one I brought fell apart, but I called the publisher directly and they shipped me another; though I suspect they didn't believe me. LJ Reboh
