Insightful without bias
Robert Jastrow does a wonderful job of explaining the various theories and mindsets of Charles Darwin without pressing any bias in the mix. Robert, if you read this, thank you once again for another outstanding read.

Complete, Informative, but Biased
This offers great selections from various works of Darwin, including some that are hard to find. I found it invaluable for my research paper, although it is clearly biased in favor of Darwin (for instance, Darwin "discovered the _fact_ of evolution".)
