Essential Energy Balancing was not the first book I had read by Diane Stein; it was the last in all the books she has written so far. I had learned everything I really needed and wanted to know from others about Reiki from her ESSENTIAL REIKI. The rest had to be learned as part of my personal journey with the energies. I had already started working daily with the " Angels of Karma" for healing my life after reading WE ARE THE ANGELS and giving it to many close friends. I didn't know what else she could have to offer when I ordered ESSENTIAL ENERGY BALANCING that she had not already given so clearly and generously in her other books, but what a surprise I had waiting. True, the first section of EEB is about healing your past and present "karma," wounds, etc, and clearing at least 50% of your personal garbage and dysfuntion, much like the book WE ARE THE ANGELS. However, for me, the main thrust of the book , besides these tools and information to clear personal pain and dysfunction, is the ten step process that follows. I completed this process quickly the first time I went through the book because I was so excited about it. Then I went back to it a year later and did it again slowly, and still continue the daily practice. What the ten step process and daily practice have offered me is the information and empowerment and personal spiritual connection to continue to heal much of my pain and dysfunction, beyond what I was aware of to ask in the first part of the clearing. The processes have allowed me to begin and continue to connect with all that I am mentally, emotionally, spiritually, things that continue to delight and surpise me. In this ongoing process, there is a larger connection with universal energies as well. I am sure the book and process will speak to each person (or not) in an individual way and that each person will have his own journey and experience with the processes and ideas in the book. I have even had a different level of experience and benefit from a second journey with the processes....and I think therein lies the value of the book for those who respond to its ideas. All I can say is that I have been on many healing journeys and that the information and tools offered in this book spoke to me and led me on a journey of healing and empowerment that continues and shows no sign of ending. As always, Diane Stein's greatest gift is that she shares all the information and tools others need and then puts those tools with complete trust into the hands of the reader. She does so in a straightforward, simple, and practical way that EMPOWERS others, rather than making them dependent, and sends them forward to become centered in their own beauty and growth.

I bought this book, Essential Energy Balancing, unaware of the other books that Diane Stein had written. As the author claimed, 'this is a book that changed my life'. Diane Stein takes the reader, step by step, into a world of understanding the forces involved in our present and past lives. She explains simply yet thoroughly how previous negative events and karma can affect our present day consciousness, then she shows how to release the negativity and 'balance' the energy processes of one's being. Completely enhancing. She has a style that assumes nothing, and shows that she truly is on a mission to help her readers heal.

In short, if you are already on the ascension path, this is a must read, must do. The processes involved with the clearing of karma at many levels are extremely effective. For example, I used the Lords of Karma process to release my relationship karma...and soon thereafter I received my release.. . through a new and healthy relationship that I am still enjoying. That is just one of my positive experiences. I have shared this work with my mother and friends and they are getting similar, very prompt results. The processes done through this level one book are exceptional and pave the way for future clearing and healing through Essential Energy Balancing II and III. I highly recommend it to those who are "seriously" working toward ascension and personal balance.

The processes in this book changed my life as nothing else ever has. Essential Energy Balancing has been the key to contacting my true self, the culmination (yet the beginning) of a lifetime's journey!

It is hard to describe the changes because they are subtle, dramatic, specific and pervasive all at once. For example, depression no longer comes out of nowhere. Relationships are not so conflicted and confusing. I daily feel the deep comfort of my active connection with the Cosmos and beyond.

You must take a lot of this work on faith, on subtle intuitive sensation. It is beyond the rational mind and nothing like you have likely ever experienced. The results are so worth the effort and the temporary discomfort some of these healings can bring up.

If you want to truly know who you are, this is the book for you.

I am eternally grateful for Essential Energy Balancing and its sequals EEB II and III. I can't reccomend this enough.

I have Diane Stein's Essential Reiki book and am always looking for additional material on the subject. I am a Level II Reiki and must say that I am impressed with what I have learned so far. Diane's writings are extremely helpful and am glad that she has written another book on this subject.

Ms. Stein's Essential Energy Balancing Process is fantastic. I was skeptical at first, but went into the process with an open mind and heart. The energy shift I experienced during the process and for a long time afterwards was like nothing I have ever felt. The incredible joy and release that accompanied the process is well worth the work to learn. All I can say is, don't knock it until you've really, TRULY tried it. And remember, even if you THINK you're open, if you aren't really, you won't experience a darn thing. That is not Ms. Stein's fault - that is your own. She gave you a divinely inspired tool. Use it. This book is not optional, but mandatory reading (as are all the Energy Balancing books) for personal/spiritual growth and enlightenment. It is probably impossible to describe the beauty of its affects - you really just have to experience it for yourself.

This book did not disappoint and added to the information I already had from previous books by Diane Stein. Well worth buying for any energy healer. It is easy to read and the techniques are well explained.

This is an obvious reptilian trap, take my advice and stay away from it. I did the meditations myself and found myself in sleep paralyses with a ghostly figure appearing to me through a blue portal only an hour later. Becareful, Diane Stein even explains how she lost everything and experienced severe depression dealing with this process, good entities don't do this kind of thing to you. Anything that involves self-hypnosis and spirit integration is a warning to stay clear no matter how exciting it sounds!Don't say I didn't warn you.

...From this author, who has a number of wise things to say in some of her other books. There were just too many things one has to take as "givens" in order to work with these exercises. While the author says she is a Witch, who are these "Lords of Karma" she goes on about ? And are we completely sure they are MALE in a human or other sense ? They are after all spiritual beings, aren't they ?
Ladies of Karma, anyone ?

Also...she says in her introduction that this all came about after she was attacked by "Alien Negative forces"...Oh, come ON. Aren't there enough negative forces in OUR world, do we have to go looking for them ELSEWHERE ? I for one was taught to look for the simplest explanation first.

She says that none of the energy healers she consulted about her condition were able to help her. While I'm not a medical professional, I DO have to wonder if at any time she consulted one. She might have had a "mini-stroke" (TIA) after all.
I'm an energy-healer myself, I know I would have recommended a consult with a doctor for someone with her symptoms.

As others have said, the "process" she puts forward for dealing with one's issues...in this lifetime and possibly others...sounds too easy. I have yet to meet anyone who can explain to me how Karma actually WORKS without breaking any number of physical, universal laws. While I can accept that there are things which exist that are beyond our current understanding (subtle energies being one of them) this particular book puts too much of a strain on my sensibilities.

Diane Stein presents a simple process to contact the Lords of Karma and ask them for the release of things in your life that you don't want or improvement of situations in your life. Ideally, you can hear the Lords of Karma speak to you. However, this did not happen for me and I really noticed no phenomenon that would indicate a yes or no answer to my requests. Therefore, the final alternative is to use a pendulum so I found someone who knows how to use one and I did the process with her - I would ask the questions and she would use the pendulum. I think perhaps I felt a slight energetic shift from this work and I want to try it again with more requests.
