I have been privileged to hear this young man twice and I could hear him fifty times more. His fire and passion make him one of the greats. If you have a chance to hear him in person, pay the extra and go. While some pianist have the fire but take great liberty with the music, he interprets the music within the parameters of the way it was written and brings emotion through his sound. You feel he has lived with the composers and knows what they have for breakfast as he brings their music to life. Evgeny brings a great balance of wit, style, and energy that is rare among musicians. Get everything this man has recorded. If you can't do that get this recording as it give a great overview of his magic. RMW

People love to compare Kissin's ability with Horowitz, Richter, Gould, etc. and try to rank him among the greats. I say, just enjoy this incredible talent without comparing him to anyone. Enjoy his interpretations and performances. This is a great starting place for enjoying Kissin.

I watched him on Ovation. The Berbier Festival. Once in a great while I hear music that just takes me far away. THIS was one of those times!!!
