Speaking as having been raised in a West Clare musical family: this book will arm any musician with enough tunes to be able to mingle in most sessions in most parts of Ireland. Of course, there are regional, town, and even family varieties that will be encountered all over Ireland. But you will find many of the 'classics' in this book, with which most traditional musicians will be familiar.
