The songs pass effortlessly from the breezy techno-pop of opener "Oxygene Part 4," from Oxygene to the deep ambience and layered samples of "Souvenir de Chine/Souvenir Of China," from 1982’s Les Concerts En Chine. The standout track from Metamorphoses, "C’est La Vie," (featuring Natacha Atlas) is a dub expedition for the darker side of the dance floor. I am a little late for Jeanne Michel Jarre....hes like the Rolling Stones...has been around a long time (since 1974 I think). I bought this album as a gift and never listened to it but I watched videos alot by JMJ on YouTube.I began w/ Equinoxe 4 some time ago but explored further later on (the full Oxygene and Equnoxe albums). Maybe I'm a little strange being an amateur astronomer but I have never been so enthused about music in my life...this is very appropriate music to my interests...read the bio on JMJ at Wikpedia and you will find he broke the Guiness book of World Records for attendance at three concerts one a the Houston Space Center and the last in Moscow where the attendance was 3.5 million. I hope he comes to Seattle and the space needle someday and puts on one of his spectacular laser and fireworks shows.
