I've been listening to John Stewart for 40 years and I too have California Bloodlines. I enjoy the lyrics of his latest work (especially East of Denver and Broken Roses, from The Day the River Sang), but EARTH RIDER is an absolutely wonderful collection of the good ol' days. It's missing only The Lady & the Outlaw, which is also an essential part of those years.

I like this CD and glad I bought it (mostly because of "Gold" with Fleetwood Mac). This is the original version of "Gold" released in 1979. Other John Stewart CD's have remade versions which aren't as good as the original version. This holds the record for the most songs on a CD in my collection. 24 songs!!! As it turns out, I like about 12 of them. So, for 12 good, enjoyable songs, it was well worth the money. Also, I would have bought "Bombs away dream babies", but it is out of print, and no longer available at a reasonable price.

Being an old hippie I just had to hear John Stewart again. I ordered this CD and I am not disappointed. It is by far the best John Stewart I've heard since he was with the Kingston Trio. A great listening CD.

The CD arrived is good condition, and it was everything I thought it would be. I bought it to replace some vinyl I had, and it that

John is at his best on this album. His musical stories come alive almost as though you were there listening to them. His voice was still very powerful at the this album was introduced.

The Earth Rider - The Essential John Stewart 1964-1979 Good product. I only purchased this cd for the song "Gold". One of my favorite and memorable songs from my early childhood. At the time, this cd was the only one available from amazon with this song on it. Would have been nice if their was a wider selection of cd's on amazon with this particular song on it. But otherwise, good cd and song. Thank you!!!!
