KERRY KEARNEY BAND Kerry Kearney, master of the dobro and slide guitar brings forth a new take on blues/roots music he likes to call "psychedelta". A powerful performer, Kerry’s electric guitar work is the stuff of which lightning storms are made. Kearney has a signature vocal style, raspy but smooth, raging from a cajoling whisper to a howl. The Kerry Kearney Band has a widespread fan base and have performed at events worldwide including the Crossroads in Memphis, New York State's Blues 2000, Riverhead Blues Festivals and the Pennsylvania's Buck's County Blues Festival. They have toured nationally with The Allman Brothers Band and with The Dickey Betts Band. The Kerry Kearney Band perform regularly in the New York area from Manhattan to The East End of Long Island appearing in such clubs as The Bottom Line, B.B. Kings and Tribeca Blues. Kerry’s achievements include awards for "Best Blues Band" and "Best Guitarist" from the Long Island Voice. His long resume includes work with Marty Balin (Jefferson Airplane) and as both a band member and studio guitarist with Sam Andrew (Big Brother and the Holding Company). Kerry Kearney Band releases include, "Kerry Kearney" (Palmetto), "Welcome to the Psychedelta" (Relix), "Trippin’ on the Psychedelta" (Relix), "Blow Your House Down" (CWE) and "The Essential Kerry Kearney Band" soon to be released on Hipbone Records. Kerry is accompanied by bassist, Frank Celenza, Eileen Murphy on drums, Tony Campo on keys and Charlie Wolfe on harmonica.
