3.0 out of 5 stars Case studies are the best part
This book is ok, but very short and doesn't provide a lot of examples to the legal side of pro wrestling. The issues and concepts outlined in the book are pretty specific, except that, if you already are in the business like myself, you already have an understanding of these concepts...independent contractor, character copywright, and contracts are all things one SHOULD...

Perkins' book on legal issues in professional wrestling is well written. The format makes it easy to ferret out specific information.

This book is ok, but very short and doesn't provide a lot of examples to the legal side of pro wrestling. The issues and concepts outlined in the book are pretty specific, except that, if you already are in the business like myself, you already have an understanding of these concepts...independent contractor, character copywright, and contracts are all things one SHOULD understand before getting into this business. If you don't, than this book is absolutely for you. I was hoping to hear about new legal issues that I should be aware of, but there was nothing unusual.

It would have been a better tool if there were more case studies provided within the book. It lists a few, including The Nasty Boys character case, but it doesn't go into great detail.

Overall, OK...good if you're very ignorant about the legal issues of pro wrestling.
