This book makes it easy to celebrate Lent at home through prayers and Bible readings. Includes easy-to-follow days of the week prayers and petitions. Also has stories for reflection. Includes a large section for kids to follow in the family's activities. Very practical and moving. I learned a lot of Lenten prayer practices that I was unaware of, some of the more old-fashioned ones.

If you are looking for a good lenten book that you can use for years, this is the one. It stays in line with the magisterium of the church. The author explains the meaning of lent, traditional practices, St. Alphonsus Liguori's Rule of Life, traditional and modern lenten prayers and daily meditations based on the three cycles of the Liturgical Year. The daily readings start with verses from the Old Testament and New Testament. Followed by a wonderful explaination of the readings and how they apply to us today. It is a great read, especially all the history and daily applications. I highly recommend this book to ALL catholics, teens to adults.
