5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and valuable!, June 19, 2011

This review is from: The Essential Link: Attachment Information For Adoptive Parents (Paperback)
This book is filled with much valuable information! It is a clearly written, easy to read book that every parent needs when dealing with a child who has an attachment issue. I agree with the other reviewer that this book is a "must read" for those considering or immediately post adoption. It has information that is SO necessary for adoptive parents to know. It certainly would have made a difference for us if we had read it post adoption! But we are still grateful to have read it fourteen years later!

5.0 out of 5 stars I am a fan of this author!, February 21, 2009
This review is from: The Essential Link: Attachment Information For Adoptive Parents (Paperback)
I looked for more offerings from this author to help me. Her other book is also fantastic! She should teach what she knows to parents of RAD kids and ALL parents. It certainly has helped me and others to whom I have recommended her work.

I wish I had read this book 8 years ago! My son now 11 years old would be in a much different place emotionally. Susan Ward offers a quick overview of essential information on attachment parenting techniques and childhood behavior. Many references in the book will assist parents not only with bonding ideas but assist parents in finding the next level of help for their children. This book should be required reading for those considering or immediately post adoption, it would save much heart ache!
