Dietrichs own blend,
By A Customer
This review is from: Essential (Audio CD)
This is the record if you want Dietrich in german, english and french. Here you get her french version of "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?", the sad and bitterblue "Dejeuner du matin" and her english 1965-interpreting of Bob Dylans "Blowing in the Wind". Some early songs and the rest from the 60's. Marlene herself choosed her own blend to this one-cd collection. The songs are in order: "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss auf Liebe eingestellt", "Quand l'amour meurt", "Give Me the Man", "Leben ohne Liebe", "Mein blondes Baby" (those from 1930-31, the rest from 1960-65), "Allein in einer grossen Stadt", "Peter", "Lola", "Wer wird denn weinen", "Johnny, wenn Du Geburtstag hast", "Lili Marlene", "Dejeuner du matin", "Ou vont les fleurs", "Wenn die Soldaten", "In den Kasernen", "Und wenn er wiederkommt", "Wenn die Sommer wieder einzieht", "Blowing in the Wind", "Die Welt war jung", "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?", "Ich werde Dich lieben", "Der Trommelmann" and "Auf der Mundharmonika".
