5.0 out of 5 stars note this book!, September 15, 2002
This review is from: Essential Neurology (Essentials) (Paperback)
I feel this book is underestimated. I can't know why. ...Anyway This book have all things for medical student or beginners in neurology or preparing the usmle - readable , explaining high yield fact easily with schematic figure and updated information. Also it's author's hope written in the preface. it feels like i'm attending author's kind and clear lecture. 'Clinical neuroanatomy made ridiculously simple' and this book ' Essential neulology' made me love neurology.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent overview, May 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Splendid primer on neurology. This is excellent as an introduction or as a quick review if you've been away from the subject for a while. In 250 pages, this is of course not comprehensive; having Adams & Victor's nearby can be handy for delving in a little deeper. The text serves its purpose very well in that it does hit the "bread and butter" areas of neurology. Further, every time I read a question and thought "well, there's really more than one answer to that" - the authors acknowledged as much! So really, an added bonus is a brief insight into the clinical reasoning of Drs Wilkinson and Lennox via the questions at the end of each chapter. Well done.

Further, you get the authors' dry humor - you'll know what I mean when you read about syringomyelia prevalence!
