As someone who has been forced to learn ORACLE on the fly (as many people do), this book has been great. It's concise and useful. There's very little bits & bytes jargon (except where absolutely necessary), so you get to the nitty gritty on how to get around - which is what I needed. Not for the ultimate techie who wants every detail (use the ORACLE docs for that!)
