I don't know of any resident who didn't use this for their boards
That being said, it's far from ideal. Text is in an outline type form and you will have to have a more detailed text to supplement with and to help you understand anatomy and concepts It's best to remind you of things that you need to read more about, rather than a primary study guide. And that last week before your boards (or in-service) a quick read through this will probably do you better than anything else since it really does at least do broad strokes on all topics.

good text but difficult to read,

Friend who'd taken inservice recommended KJ Lee. Difficult to read, lots of minutiae. If you've read another oto textbook first, this would be easier to read. Kind of disjointed.
