I found this book very helpful and user-friendly. The information is accessible and I was able to find help easily in logical places. As I become a more experienced user, I find the book equally helpful for using more advanced techniques. It's one of the few technical books that I actually enjoyed reading.

This is a great book for beginners as it explains everything in an easy to understand way. It is a textbook for a class that I am attending and I have learned a many things that I didn't even know Photoshop could do. Perfect for anyone interested in graphic arts, from the person who wants to build a cool personal web page to the professional webmaster or ad designer. It teaches not only the basics such as scanning, but also how to use filters, text effects, actions and more. This is a must for anyone who uses or owns Adobe Photoshop 5.0!

After taking an online course in Adobe PS 5, I purchased The Adobe Photoshop Bible, and borrowed Essential Photo Shop 5 from the library, as well as several other guides. I have yet to begin to use the Bible and returned the other guides but learn something new whenever I glance at Essential Photo Shop 5. The explanations are very easy to understand and the exercises are well written and useful. I hope this is in stock soon, as I would hate to have to pay the overdue fees when I refuse to give up my borrowed copy.
