The CD has many useful tips on guarding against online scams. With some 18000 pages of advice, it offers good value. Especially when you consider its price against various electronic papers offered for sale on Amazon by consulting firms on this subject. Some of those papers are going for hundreds of dollars! Ignore them and look at this US government compendium.
Interested readers should also note that the advice given about detecting phishing is for manual scrutiny of a suspected phishing email. No technical solution is offered by the government, circa late 2005, when this CD was made. |
