Henderson's book is well written. I stayed fairly well engaged while reading each chapter. Some of the jargon used on sailing vessels went a bit over my head, but for the most part all terms and concepts are explained. There is just enough information on each topic to educate without overwhelming the beginner. If there is one thing that I would like to have seen, it is an updated edition with more information relating to GPS. The Information contained in the book is somewhat outdated. I definitely would recommend this book.
