Jonathan Feist is a writer, editor, musician, and teacher. In addition to editing over 100 books about music for Berklee Press and many online courses for Berkleemsusic.com, he is the songwriter and vocalist for the band Fantasy Monologue. He resides in central Massachusetts with his family and an assortment of barnyard creatures, including alpacas and bees.

hello, I love this item is very simple and easy to follow. You should be aware of music teory before using it, like scales, modes, chord progressions, etc. But great for songwriting development and writer's block...I also have two books from the same author that completes the material with great exercises...the Harmony and Melody workshop...those come with dvd...combine those three and you will become great at songwriting...cheers from Costa Rica !!!! :)

As a wannabe songwriter this is a sweet little book crammed with ideas. The book is an easy read. It is accessible and a quick reference. What more could you want? When I sell my next tune to Britney, I will have these people to thank. Hey, on second thought, these songs are too good for Britney! Thank you, Kachulis and Feist.
