The media would have us believe that everybody is busy surfing the Web 16 hours a day. The truth is, many people are still wondering what it is all about and how to get connected. Fristrup has written this for the new Web Surfer who is a non-technical PC user and is interested in the Web as an "information" tool rather than a "recreational" tool. It shows you how to get connected using the NetCruiser browser and gives you a directory of URLs to get you started. It also provides instructions on how to find what you want on the Web, how to create your own home page, and includes an appendix of WWW FAQ's.
Jenny was born in 1962 and spent the first dozen or so years traveling the world as an "oil patch brat." She has lived in many different countries and loves the perspectives she gained from living in places vastly different than her own. She graduated from California Polytechnic with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. After graduating, she lived and worked in California's Silicon Valley, where she developed information technology solutions for Fortune 500 clients, and volunteered as a fitness instructor for the YMCA. She lives in a small town in southern California.
