4.0 out of 5 stars The Essential Unity of All Religions, March 15, 2000
By
katzpawz (Atlanta, Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Essential Unity of All Religions (Paperback)
This book provides a refreshing approach to human spirituality. The author chooses to examine the ways in which varying cultures are similar (regarding spiritual matters), rather than focusing on the differences. He successfully illustrates that many long sought-after truths are universal world-wide. Das explores ancient traditions and explains that humans have been engaged in these persuits over a vast period of time as well as great distances. It is humbling to realize that modern, Western traditions are neither unique nor original.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource!, October 3, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Essential Unity of All Religions (Paperback)
Althought it is a little scattered, the information in this book is INVALUABLE. It is an excellent resource for learning about the common core of the world's religions. I was writing an essay on the similarities of the world's religions and my wife brought home a copy of this book from the used book store. That was 10 years ago and I have referred to this book thousands of times since then.
