I am reading through this one at this time and am enjoying the many illustrations, charts and other helpful resources to help the reader understand. Book seems to be written in the same format as Changed into His Image which I have also read. I have mailed copies of this book to both my brother & mother and will mail Berg's books as they are great tools for discipleship. Unlike the "Purpose Driven Life" or "Your Best Life Know" or "Becoming a Better You" his books are filled with scripture, and are not focused on self and its will and desires, but what the scripture says how we should be conformed to the image of Christ. Overall a good work.

An Excellant study from IIPeter 1:5-7 on the steps to Christian maturity. I've taught this study for years and wish I would of had this added insight during that time. Jim Berg makes this study simple yet thorough with easy to remember illustrations. A must read for believers in order to better understand their purpose and how it is achieved.

Used this book in our men's Bible Study, and it was great! The book is Biblical based, and Jim Berg uses the principles from the virtue list in II Peter 1 to apply to our own personal lives. It has much for any Christian at any stage in their spiritual journey. It really helped all of us in our group to evaluate where we were in this journey. Berg continually points back to the cross/Gospel as the remedy to our sin while accurately portraying that we need to be growing in these Christ-like virtues at the same time. Highly recommend this book!
