4.0 out of 5 stars Nice weight, nice color, shrinks
I bought this drop cloth to use as a throw cover on a sofa where dogs like to sleep. Right out of the box and out of the bag it had no odor at all. It is a nice weight and a lovely oatmeal color. I machine washed and dried it which changed the texture. It's much softer and wrinkled, but an attractive wrinkling like washed linen. There is a seam down the middle that...

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not completely stop paint from going through
You should note that the paint will go through the canvas onto your rug/floor when you step on the paint that's on the canvas. This has happened to me both times I used them for painting. The paint on the canvas was normal drops of paint you get when painting, not spills.

There is a seam down the middle that is blue jean stitched, so it's not going to fall apart or fray.

The 12 foot (144 inch) length was actually 11 feet 10 inches (142 inches), and it shrank to 11 feet 2 inches (134 inches).

It shrank more in width. The 9 foot (108 inch) width was actually 8 feet 10 inches (106 inches) and it shrank to 7 feet 5 inches (89 inches).

I paid the same price for a much lighter weight drop cloth at Home Depot. It ripped the first time I used it. This one is MUCH heavier weight. Great value!

5.0 out of 5 stars 9X12 ft. Canvas Dropcloth, December 6, 2009

Bought five of these dropcloths after seeing the positive reviews. I made them into curtains for my porch. It work perfectly since there was a seem in the middle and I was able to easily remove the seem to make one dropcloth into two panels. All I had to do was hem the top and bottom of the panels to make them into curtains. I am very happy with the quality and would recommend this product.

Painting? Moving? Cleaning? These are great to catch the dirt. Just wash them and reuse.

4.0 out of 5 stars used for outdoor curtains, March 18, 2009

i used these an inexpensive alternative to outdoor curtains. i washed first in cold water and air dryed (to simulate being in the elements) and it did shrink up considerably (maybe a foot)but it actually worked out in the end, because i plan on adding weights to the bottom. i added grommets to the top and hung. i plan on buying the fabric guard 303 (which u can also get from this site) to spray on to make it mildew resistant. it remains to be seen how this will workout, as they've only been up a week, but all in all, i'd say this is a cheap alternative that will fit our purposes nicely.

I purchased (2) 9 x 12 to use as an alternative to drapes for my wife's sewing space in the basement. Could'nt be happier with the results. Excellent quality. They are almost too nice to drip paint on. Would highly suggest this product to anyone looking for quality. And I could not find a better price anywhere on the internet.

Unlike most drop cloths from the big-box stores, these are of a finer, whiter and heavier fabric. We use our new ones as slip covers for our uphostered furniture and old ones for drop cloths. By the way, the 4 x 12's are really handy for painting.

I bought this drop after reading the other reviews. I used to use plastic drops, but this canvas drop is nicer as it is heavier and you can throw it in the wash when it needs to be cleaned. Highly recommended over plastic.

I purchased the drop cloth as an inexpensive canvas for hobby painting with an airbrush. After using primer it worked just fine.
