The book is required in our class of Finance as an introduction to the accounting system. It's quite easy to understand all the principles by doing the exercises yourself. And the special design of reverse printing and post tests are a big help. I had accounting class before and was often confused with debits and credits of whatever assets or liablities and equity. However, when I'm doing this book, everything is clear - there's considerable details to explain how to debit or credit any accounts. Simple introduction of non-profit organizations' financial statement also quite useful. Strongly recommended.

This book is perfect for a person who has a general understanding of bookkeeping but wants to know more about accounting. It makes a good review for a person who uses financial statements but does not prepare them. It is a workbook, so the reader answers questions on each page. This encourages retention of information.

I used this book in a analyst training program in Wall Street. It is an excellent summary of Accounting 001. Clear, short and precise for people who want to grasp relatively quickly the topic.

You NEED the workbook to use this text.
The book asks questions based on worksheets in a workbook. You cannot use this text without the workbook. You most likely will not get the workbook with this book. Horrible.

Pretty good, but tests have errors
The workbook style of this book makes for a very educational "read", but I'm getting annoyed at several errors in the tests at the end of each chapter. Read more
