This is the perfect text for those with a need for a beginner's course in Anatomy and Physiology. It's brief, very readable, and filled with great graphics and highlighted tables of important information. Every time I thought of something I remembered or had a question about (such as common ailments, diseases, etc.) as I read the text, it was usually covered in a call-out box. Well done!

This book was a very helpful during my A & P class. The easy to understand, concise explanations of complex systems are great.

This book i must say is a pretty cool book, but just wasn't thee book for me. i just needed a quick reference book so i have returned this book & i now have Shirley Jones Pocket Anatomy and Physiology and it fits my needs.

Well, before buying, I just read the sample text, Chapter 1. Spelling errors abound! Is this a function of OCR? Or is the actual print text filled with errors as well?

For example...
(1) Chapter 1, Box 1-1 "Replacing Tiissues and Organs" [even the box title has a spelling error!]
(2) 3rd paragraph: "patients with severs burns"
(3) 4th paragraph: "Mny artifical replacements parts have alos been developed." [2 errors in one sentence!]
(4) also 4th paragraph: "...are not rejected as foreing".
(5) Finally, the last sentence in the box...good luck with that one... "work is also progressing..." [read the rest of the sentence in the box to see what I mean].

Maybe it is just me, but I find the effort to mentally hurdle over the spelling errors too much of a distraction to focus on the actual text. Maybe the print version is different, and error free. I hope so. I look forward to further investigation at a local bookstore.

We will see if you can teach an old dog new tricks. With Scanlon A&P I think I may have a chance. Wish me luck!

This book is great, but the kindle version on mac/ipad of this book is terrible. There are spelling mistakes, sentences being repeated again and again (Box 15-5 for example). The worst thing is that, I want to enlarge a table on mac, eg table 22-1, table 22-2, it does't work! The way it is assumed to enlarge letters and tables, oppositely, made the tables smaller! I tried many ways, but I couldn't get a clear view of table 22-1 at all!
I was very pissed off. This book is purchased as a textbook! Less can I learn from kindle version than a real book!
