About the Author

Barry S. Roberts received a B.S. in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He served as a judicial clerk for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court prior to practicing law in Pittsburgh. Roberts is currently Professor of Business Law at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business Administration University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of Who's Who in American Law Outstanding Young Men of America and the North Carolina and Pennsylvania Bars. Professor Roberts has written numerous articles on such topics as antitrust products liability constitutional law banking law employment law and business associations. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Well written book that provides a good introduction into business law principles. Outlines complex concepts with case law that makes it easy to understand. A reccomended read for the pre-law students as well as a valuable reference for business owners.

I had to buy this book because it is the required textbook in my class. I bought it here in Amazon because it is cheaper here than in my school's bookstore. Although it is cheaper in Amazon, the book still costs 150+, which is still very expensive for a student like me.

Anyways, If I only knew before what I knew now, I could have saved my self $150+! The content of this book is almost very similar to the Smith and Roberson's business law book. I happen to get an older version in a trift store for $25 and while scanning through the book, I realized that the two books are almost the same! The wordings and the case files tackled are almost the same. I hardly even used this brand new book at all.

Recommended?
If it is really really required in your class and you have money to spare, then go for it. But if not and you dont have much money to spend on text books, I would recommend that you look around at other USED business law text books like the older versions of Smith and Roberson.

This book was so helpful, It is just like the newer edition but much more inexpensive!!! I couldn't bring myself to spending $200 on a book, so this one at $30 was much more affordable and a great buy too!!! Packed full of great information for my Business Law class and easy to follow too!
