This review is from: Essentials of Cardiac Anesthesia: A Volume in Essentials of Anesthesia and Critical Care, 1e (Paperback)
That's not only a complete review about cardiac anesthesiology, it's a complete book about everything around the heart (physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, etc). Even it's not a big book, it is user friendly, going to the essentials without missing anything important.
The autors did a great job, resuming in several chapters cardiac anesthesia and more in a not to long way ideal for the clinician. Much more better than "a practical approach to cardiac anesthesia" from F. A. Hensley which is unreadable because of the presentation. Kaplan's book is colored with enough images to illustrate the text. This book is not only for anesthesiologist, but also for critical care physicians. If you want to buy one, buy this one!
