5.0 out of 5 stars nice surprise, October 31, 2008
By
This review is from: Essentials of Clinical Supervision (Paperback)
This is a surprisingly readable book on a potentially boring subject. It is thorough enough to be an excellent preparation for new supervisors yet is also useful to experienced supervisors. Material is presented freshly enough that information previously known to the reader isn't tedious, and plenty of food for thought is offered. I have supervised clinicians for many years, yet found new ways of looking at things in here. I recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for reference, April 4, 2009
This review is from: Essentials of Clinical Supervision (Paperback)
I selected this text for purposes of Florida CEU's for Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Being already a certified clinical supervisor, I wanted to update myself for any changes in best practices. I found it to be thorough, and very well organized for reference purposes. Important points are highlighted in the margins, and mini-sections are individually summarized. -Tom H, LMHC

4.0 out of 5 stars The importance of correct clinical supervision, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Essentials of Clinical Supervision (Paperback)
The Essentials of Clinical Supervision is easy to read and offers clinical advice on the practice. It clearly explains the necessary requirements of the superviser in various settings from educational to private practive. After reading this book, I feel ready to supervise practicing therapists.

The author also provides continuing education hours for the reading of this book and the passing of a test. It is well worth the money.
