A good anthology of his Elektra days,
By Henry Cooper ""Still One Me"" (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Essentials (Audio CD)
I'm really enjoying now. Just purchased this on tape for a very low price. This man had it all in his Spirit when he's playing. Nobody can do it nor feel the sound of this Sax-Sensational Genius of all Mr. Grover Washington, Jr. He consider to me as my All-Time Main Sax Player and truly on my Top Lists, no matter what. That boy can play and blow his chops. Like Marvin Gaye can sing like an instrument as with Ray Charles can sing like a whoever or plays professionally as a Art Tatum, Nat Cole, or else Duke Ellington.Good work on this anthology and hopefully I'll hear the rest on other greatest hits and compilations, etc. RIP to the Genius that did it and help create this smooth jazz-Jazz Funk genre. A Absolute Must. |
