Most appealing to students and residents ... who desire a quick review of imaging techniques and diseases in children ... Will be especially popular during preparation for examinations. General radiologists who desire a quick update on pediatric imaging will also find this book useful. - American Journal of Roentgenology[..] this book is intended to assist physicians and residents, it offers excellent information for technologists. 3.0 out of 5 stars OK, not great February 6, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This book is written in outline format. I personally do not like this style of teaching, as I find it abrupt and disjointed. I really cannot recommend this book as an introductory text, and would pick a much easier read and higher-yield text like Donnelly's Fundamentals of Pediatric Radiology.

5.0 out of 5 stars More information per page than any other text February 17, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
This isn't a book to introduce pediatric radiology, it's one to learn pediatric radiology. The index is very complete and it's easy to find what you're looking for. This text has all the information that you look for when someone asks you a question about a topic or when reviewing for boards.
Check out an intro text from the library. Buy this one to have an incredible amount of information on hand when you need it.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like swischuk September 24, 2006
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I like swischuk's books better. I'm not a radiologist so maybe this is geared more for them. Nice pictures though...

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful in Past, Outdated Now October 30, 2008
Format:Hardcover
I also am not a big fan of the outline style, though some texts do it well. I found this book quite helpful in my early days as a pediatrician. It is now outdated and sorely in need of revision. I advise against buying this edition.
