This book impressed me not only with its wealth of easily understood and applied expertise, but with its conversational and friendly tone as well. Can't imagine a more enjoyable way to pick up some crucial parenting wisdom...

Format: Paperback
I found Dr. Arinoldo's book to deliver what its title touts, the Essentials of Smart Parenting. It was not only incredibly quick & easy-to-read, but also packed with excellent tips that are easily adaptable to real life situations. Aside from the useful "smart parenting" techniques he describes within (along with his co-author, wife Linda) there are a ton of helpful ideas for reducing family-related stress as well. Not enough parenting books cover the stress factor, so I'm glad this one did! My schedule doesn't permit me a lot of free time, but the time I did take to read this book was an excellent investment towards improving my family's--and my own--well-being.
