This book was required for an intro to sociology class that I took and although this book is 'introductory', I felt that it could have provided more examples, sources, and evidence to the concepts it was attempting to convey. Another issue I had with the book was that the graphs that it included were ofter hard to decipher and were included with little or no explanation. Bottom line: Although the book does offer some interesting and useful information, it lacks helpful examples and explanations, so if possible choose a different intro to sociology textbook.

I purchased this book from Bunches of Books for only 27 cents + shipping. I'd have say that the book has been "well loved" lets just say, but for the price, I can't complain.

I ordered this book new, and it arrived wrapped in a paper bag that had ripped, causing the book cover to be bent and have a dirty streak across the cover that I cannot get off. Also, the pages are all bent on one corner due to the simple packaging. Quite disappointing when expecting a clean new book.

A book I definetly needed and glad I had. Very useful in my class. A definite most have.

This book is for my SOC101 class and needed to buy. Also, I would advise that if you personally interested in about Sociology, you may want to buy this book.It has lots of explanation stories too.

I liked this. Sociology is a thing I didn't even know existed. IT's the study of people, but not like like psychology which is the singular but GROUPS of people - the plural, if you will.

It's a bit of a "soft" science book, if you know what I mean. S. Hawking fans and the like will scoff at such stuff but it's full of interesting thoughts on how people work even though none of it can really be proven! Funny how they still call it 'science.' Kinda like 'political science.' That came off a bit harsh. Anyway, take Sociology if you're in University. IT's chock full of the school's bangin-est girls and you'll probably get to read this amusing book. WIN!!
